PHOENIX (work in progress) The Phoenix, known as Thunderbird by Native Americans, is a symbol of transformation. It gathers sacred wood for its own funeral pyre and sacrifices itself, knowing it will rise from its ashes to a higher level of being. A piece for a memory garden.
